Yes we are open for target shooting, but…

….due to the extreme fire danger caused by our dry weather, we are being extra vigilant with the discharge of firearms, particularly with those using black powder.

 


 

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has issued a statewide temporary ban on target shooting on WDFW-managed lands. This notice prohibits the discharge of firearms for target shooting or other purposes by anyone not engaged in lawful hunting. The official notice can be found HERE.

 

Additionally, the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has similarly issued a statewide temporary ban on target shooting on DNR-managed lands. This notice prohibits the discharge of firearms for target shooting or other purposes by anyone not engaged in lawful hunting. The official notice can be found HERE.

It's estimated that more than 16 million people (about 7% of the population over 21) have concealed carry permits, and this number continues to grow as numerous surveys indicate the public increasingly believes they are safer with a gun than without one. Almost 600,000 state residents have a concealed carry license. Each state sets their own rules for concealed carry and they may be quite different and sometimes confusing. Meeting Schedule Changes

Several schedule changes for meetings were approved last night at the membership meeting.

 

The July general membership meeting has been moved from July 3 to July 10 because of the July 4 holiday.

 

The September general membership meeting has been moved from September 4 to September 11 because of the Labor Day holiday.

 

The December executive board meeting has been moved from December 25 to December 18 because of Christmas.

 

The January 2019 general membership meeting has been moved from January 1, 2019 to January 8, 2019 because of the New Year’s holiday.
