50 Yard Baffle Project Update
You may already have heard that the construction phase on the 50 Yard baffles was completed on November 16th and the county inspection was completed November 20th. The 7/15, 100 and 200 yard ranges are all open again. Improvements to the 7/15 yard range are being scheduled. There may be short range closures during the work, please check the website for range updates.

Board members will begin their terms at the January 2019 Executive Board meeting.


Scheduled Training Classes
Mike has submitted an application for an NRA grant to help with funding Woman on Target clinics. These instructional clinics are available only to women and are designed to teach firearm safety and fundamentals of
marksmanship with pistols, rifles, and/or shotguns. Basic pistol class training will be scheduled for January 13th and February 10th. Check the NRA training web site for more information and to register.


2019 Membership
A reminder that Membership renewal applications for the 2019 membership year will be processed starting on January 2, 2019. If you must send in your renewal application early, it will be placed on hold until that time.


Web Site Updates
Proposals from interested contractors have been received and follow up meetings will be held as needed. A recommendation will be made to the Executive Board early next year. [read more]


The 25/50 Yard Range is OPEN – Holiday Closure

The construction phase of the 50 yard baffle replacement project is complete and the Kitsap County inspectors have approved the final building inspection and commercial occupancy permit. Although we are awaiting a project certification for the State grant, the range is open for shooting.

The rifle and pistol ranges are back to a normal schedule of open seven days a week with winter hours from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Be sure and check the range activities calendars here. Afterhours shooting will remain closed.

Holiday Closure, remember the Poulsbo Sportsman Club is closed to all shooting activities on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. We may close a few hours early on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Meeting Schedule Changes

Several schedule changes for meetings were approved last night at the membership meeting.


The July general membership meeting has been moved from July 3 to July 10 because of the July 4 holiday.


The September general membership meeting has been moved from September 4 to September 11 because of the Labor Day holiday.


The December executive board meeting has been moved from December 25 to December 18 because of Christmas.


The January 2019 general membership meeting has been moved from January 1, 2019 to January 8, 2019 because of the New Year’s holiday.
